When is a Not An Exit sign required?
OSHA's exit-route rules call for doors that could be mistaken for exits to be marked 'Not an Exit' or labeled with their actual use (such as 'Storeroom'). If a door near an egress path dead-ends, label it.
Which material should I choose?
Adhesive vinyl is a peel-and-stick decal for glass, painted walls and doors, in four colorways. Rigid plastic is a lightweight .040″ panel. Rust-free .040″ aluminum is the most durable, with rounded burr-free corners and pre-punched holes for screw or wire mounting.
