Why do fire extinguishers need a sign?
OSHA requires that extinguisher locations be identified — an extinguisher is useless if it can't be found quickly in an emergency. Posting a high-visibility sign above each unit makes its location clear to everyone in the facility.

Anywhere an extinguisher lives: warehouses, kitchens and break rooms, schools, labs, hospitals, hotels, offices, factories, construction sites, and even buses and RVs. Mount each sign directly above its extinguisher so the location reads from across the room.
What's the difference between the Adhesive Vinyl, Plastic, and Aluminum versions?
All three carry the same white-on-red design. Adhesive Vinyl is a peel-and-stick decal for clean, flat surfaces like windows, walls, and doors; Plastic is a rigid lightweight panel; Aluminum is a rigid .040″ rust-free panel for screw or wire mounting. Each comes in Standard, Glow in the Dark, or Reflective finishes.
How does the Glow in the Dark finish work?
The photoluminescent vinyl charges with daylight or artificial light and glows for up to 8 hours in darkness — so the extinguisher stays findable during a power outage. Keep it exposed to regular light so it stays charged.
How do I mount them?
Every sign comes with 4 pre-punched holes — secure with screws, nails, tie-wraps, or wire on any surface. Adhesive vinyl versions stick directly to clean, flat surfaces and remove cleanly without residue. Mounting accessories are not included.
Will these hold up outdoors?
Yes. The UV protective coating makes them waterproof, weatherproof, and scratch, rust and UV resistant — rated for at least 3 years outdoors without fading, and even longer indoors.
What size are the signs?
